Book Review: The Bad Mother’s Diary

Author: Suzy Quinn
Publisher: Motherhood Fiction
Number of Pages: 320
Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I read the blurb and it made me chuckle. Holiday reading can’t all be crime and thrillers!

Juliette had a baby with Mr Not-Quite-Right. Now what? So I’ve had a baby. But motherhood isn’t quite how I imagined.I don’t live in a lovely house with roses around the door. I don’t know how to get Daisy to sleep. I don’t own a baking tray. And then there’s Daisy’s sh*tbag of a father

Hilarious, heartbreaking and relatable. This book will make you laugh and cry simultaneously. Juliette’s portrayal of motherhood seems like a brutally honest one that I’m sure most mothers can relate too. Loving your baby but also wanting to kill them for only allowing you half an hours sleep. Quiet quickly I became invested in her and wanted things to all pan out for the best..but do they?

A great, easy read which will have you experiencing a rollercoaster of emotions… particularly if you’re a parent yourself!

I want to order the next book in this series!

Have you read any of the books in this series? Would you recommend them or any other comedy books to read? I’d love to hear your thoughts!

Happy reading -ox
