I kicked off 2017, and my new reading list, with this book. I wanted to read it predominantly because I love Love LOVE the Harry Potter books so it was a total no brainer for me. However, saying that I was a little unsure as to whether or not I wanted to read it because I didn’t want to spoil my childhood books.
Firstly, I haven’t read any plays/screenplays before but I actually found it a good style to read and I enjoyed it and would in fact read more books that are written in this way again.
I enjoyed the contrast between the wizarding worlds (UK & USA) and enjoyed getting to meet some of the interstiving and imaginative creatures, some of which are clearly based on mythology.
What animal will be crawling out of the suitcase next?
Favourite quote:
“My philosophy is that worrying means you suffer twice.”
I havn’t read this one yet but heard a lot about it. I am planning to read before I watch the movie. I saw the trailer though.

I do that too, I ALWAYS (other than Game Of Thrones) read the book before watching the series/film! It just doesn’t seem right to do it in the other order ☺

Ikr! In most cases movies suck. I dont want to ruin my perspective of the book by watching the movie first.

I totally agree, plus the books are normally so much better and have many more layers!
